Homepage Overview

The Homepage in myFolio is the first page users see when they sign in.  Users will see their individual professional growth Goals, the school-wide Themes, and the School Community Feed - all in one convenient place.

Major Elements of the myFolio Homepage

Although the myFolio Homepage has changed, most (if not all) of the items from the previous version are still here, maybe just in a different place, with a different look.  

Center

Community Feed

The new Community Feed feature in myFolio is a place where you can share insights and best practices, ask questions, provide resources and ideas, and celebrate together.

Community Posts are public to the entire school and can be connected with the school’s Themes.  Users can then filter by Theme to find Posts of interest.  Posts can be text only, or a combination of text, web links, and/or Resources (attached files).

Themes

These are Themes that your school has set up and that you can associate with Community posts (and Goals.) Click on the Theme to see Community posts associated with that Theme.  If don't see "Themes", your school hasn't set up any Themes yet.  Get in touch yoit your myFolio Admin and suggest some!

Shortcuts/My Bookmarks

Clicking on My Bookmarks will filter the Community posts you have bookmarked.  You can bookmark a post by clicking on the bookmark icon on the post. 

School Announcements

This is a place for the School Admin to post timely announcements that can be dismissed by faculty and staff once read. Clicking the “x” in the upper right corner will dismiss the announcement.

School Notice

This is similar to School Announcements, but the faculty and staff can’t dismiss them.  

Mindful Minute

The Mindful Minute allows you to take a moment to reflect on how your work is going and share it with your supervisor.

MyTimeline

This section lists any Milestones or Waypoints that you are responsible for completing.

Mission

Here is where your school can display their mission or values statement, or just a brief description of the school.

Monthly Check-Ins

If you have set a check-in frequency for one of your Goals, you will be able to do it here. If you don't see Monthly Check-Ins, edit one or more of your Goals to add a check-in frequency!

My Goals

Your Goals are displayed here. You can also create Goals by clicking the “Add Goal” button.

Shine the Spotlight

Folio allows you to send positive notes or commendations to colleagues through the use of Spotlight. Spotlight comments are visible to your supervisors, making them aware of the exemplary efforts, projects, and contributions you and your colleagues have made to the school.

You can make someone’s day by shining the spotlight on their praiseworthy efforts, work, and contributions to the school.

Tasks

Any Tasks created by your school’s myFolio Admin will appear here.  This is also where you  can track and complete tasks as a user.
